Frequently Asked Questions

Q- What if I have to postpone or move my wedding date?

A- That is no problem. We will take your wedding promotion and any down payments and simply just move them forward.

Q- Can you match our dress colors?

A- YES! We match all national dress shop colors. We have the largest selection of vest and tie colors in the Metro Detroit area.

Q- I have out of town groomsmen, how do they get measured?

A- They can get free measurements from any local formal wear shop in their area. They can simply call, fax, e-mail their measurements
to us or they can submit them online on the out of town form; the link is above in the menu bar.

Q- How far in advance should I have my styles picked out and groomsmen measured?

A- ASAP. The sooner you have styles picked out the sooner you won't have to worry about it. We do recommend to have your groomsmen measured at least 2 months before your wedding date, if not sooner. Ring bearers may wait until 1 month before the wedding date.

Q- How important is it to try on my tuxedo at the 2nd fitting? Why do I need to try it on?

A- VERY important! Minor alterations, like a coat sleeve length or pant length, can be fixed in-store with a 5-10 minute wait. Major alterations, like a new coat size, will be shippped and it will take between 24- 48 hours to receive the replacement garments. That's why it is extremely important to come at the appoinment time to try on the rental items. Gerard Tuxedo cares how your groomsmen look, so we go over every tuxedo with each gentleman.
